CPW Complete Web Services inc. (CPW) provides web services that include site design, site maintenance, domain name services and web hosting. The following privacy policy outlines how personal information is collected, used and disclosed by CPW.

In order to maintain a responsible business relationship with it's clients, CPW will collect company information and personal information of a contact (or contacts) who may be required to carry on the normal course of business. Personal information will also be requested for those operating as a sole proprietor, or in a fashion that is not incorporated.

This information will be requested, typically at the beginning of a new business relationship, and it may be used for a credit check (in the case of a new client), billing, notices where required and any other normal correspondence required for the normal course of business.

Personal information is stored securely both physically in a protected paper file at the incorporated place of business and also on a computer at the incorporated place of business that is protected from the internet by a firewall / router and is available to only authorized employees or contracted agents of CPW for the purpose of the normal course of business with CPW as previously defined with the client.

CPW provides domain name registration services which utilizes a third party registrar. All domain registrations require that a registrant, administrative contact and technical contact be provided. When registering a domain name on a client's behalf, it is common for personal contacts and accompanying details to be used and in such cases personal information may be, and is commonly, used. This is quite important as these details pertain to the ownership and management of the domain name. These contact details are made available to the public through the WHOIS database for domain names. Any contact details may be checked, changed or updated at any time by contacting CPW at Phone 403 609 2654 or email privacy@cpw.ca . Personal information in this regard will also be used to contact the client in order to renew the domain name upon it's expiry date.

In the case where CPW hosting services are provided by a third party provider, personal information relating only to that account may be provided to the hosting provider only for the purpose of identifying the account. Hosting services also include the collection of log files which provide statistics regarding activity on a website. This is very common and typically provides the number of files served, unique visitors, pages views, browser types and referrals. When a user comes to a website they have a unique IP (Internet Protocal) address, and this address is also collected, but it is not used in any way to identify the user personally. Except for legal purposes, this IP address will be used only for seeing what country a user is from and whether they are repeat visitors to the website.

Personal information will be disclosed to legal authorities for legal purposes.

Personal information associated with an account is kept as long as it is legally required and until a client requests that CPW no longer keep these details on file. If a client ceases to do business with CPW their information will remain on file until the client requests that it be removed or deleted.

CPW strives to provide every client with the best service possible which includes maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of every client and their information that they provide. This information is only collected as it is willingly provided by the client and is only used and/or disclosed for the purpose of which it was collected.
